Wurde anfangs gerne von einem „Hype“ gesprochen, ist Social Media heute eine Erweiterung gesellschaftlicher Kommunikationskanäle in die digitale Welt. Die fortwährende Entwicklung der Medienlandschaft hat die bestehenden Strukturen des Shannon-Weaver-Modells grundlegend geändert - und so scheint es, dass bspw. Konsumenten weitgehend resistent sind gegenüber einstige Werbebotschaften. In diesem Zusammenhang bat mich das deutschlandweit agierende Branchennetzwerk #SoMe in Kooperation mit der oldenburgischen Industrie- und Handelskammer eine Kolumne für das Magazin „Oldenburgische Wirtschaft“ zu verfassen: „Facebook - Hype oder Chance“.
